Hey!
Welcome to my newest pattern!! And yes- this is a pattern, not a final piece! Just need to put that out there right at the beginning.
This pattern is probably the most beginner friendly pattern I've made, and as a bonus doesn't require much sewing. Before diving in, check out the materials you'll need to bring this project to life.
As another disclaimer, this is a pattern and not a final product. Once purchased you will receive an email PDF of the pattern (this will be separate from the confirmation email), so make sure you provide me with your correct email so you can receive the pattern. Sometime the pattern also ends up in a spam folder, so be sure to check there.
When you download the pattern I have also provided you with 2 variations, one to be viewed online and one that can be printed. You will also receive a heart shape print out to trace for the shape of the bag.
The pattern contains:
- US crochet terms.
- Beginner project. The oranges whip up quick, the hardest part of the pattern is the netting, but I have a lot of step by step photos that will walk you through it!
- Easy-to-follow instructions, with lots of photos for many of the steps. 3 incredible pattern testers tested these patterns to make sure every step of the way is easy to follow!
- Not too much sewing like most of my other patterns!
What you will need:
- A US G-6/4mm hook and US J-10/6mm crochet hook.
- Yarn used for Oranges: Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick® Solid Yarn in the color pumpkin. Any Super Bulky (size 6) yarn will work. The amount will vary based on the number and size of the oranges. (For the amount I made, I recommend having 3 skeins.) If you can't find bulky yarn, I recommend finding a medium-sized yarn and using 3 strands at once to achieve the bulky thickness.
- Yarn used for leaves: Impeccable® Solid Yarn by Loops & Threads® in the color Guacamole. Any medium (size 4) yarn will work. Perfect if you have green scraps.
- Yarn used for Mesh Bag: Lion Brand® 24/7 Cotton® Yarn in the color Red. Any medium (size 4) yarn will work.
- Yarn used for tie: Impeccable® Solid Yarn by Loops & Threads® in the color Aran. Any medium (size 4) yarn will work. It’s perfect if you have green scraps.
- Polyfil stuffing. You will need a lot for the oranges; I used a 20oz bag.
- Scissors.
If you buy this pattern you have the freedom to recreate it for yourself or as gifts. I'm also open to people selling the final products made from the pattern. I can't wait to see what you make!
I hope you have a blast with this, and if you at any point have any questions about the design or process please feel free to email me at knottedneon@gmail.com
